This artwork by U Lun Gywe achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Morning Session auction, the work Spectrum of Burmese Colour sold for HKD 325,000.00 (€ 37,693.98) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. This high result makes Spectrum of Burmese Colour the most expensive artwork by U Lun Gywe that we have observed at auctions so far.
