Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Flower Market by U Lun Gywe was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in May this year. It achieved a price of HKD 53,760.00 (€ 6,443.73), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Admittedly, works by U Lun Gywe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spectrum of Burmese Colour in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 37,693.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Flower Market von U Lun Gywe kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 53.760,00 (€ 6.443,73) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von U Lun Gywe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spectrum of Burmese Colour im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 37.693,98).
