Sold at the upper estimate price
This work without title by Tu Hongtao was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. The auction ended at the price of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 13,950.97), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tu Hongtao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In Dream and Somnus in October 2015 with an auction result of CNY 1,950,000.00 (€ 279,555.33).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tu Hongtao wurde im April 2014 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 13.950,97) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tu Hongtao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In Dream and Somnus im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 1.950.000,00 (€ 279.555,33).
