In December 2013 Sothebys in Beijing held the auction Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art, which included the work The Doll With A Fan by Tu Hongtao. The »bidding war« ended at CNY 188,800.00 (€ 22,635.72), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tu Hongtao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In Dream and Somnus in October 2015 with an auction result of CNY 1,950,000.00 (€ 279,555.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2013 führte Sothebys in Beijing die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Doll With A Fan von Tu Hongtao zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CNY 188.800,00 (€ 22.635,72) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tu Hongtao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In Dream and Somnus im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 1.950.000,00 (€ 279.555,33).
