In May 2011 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Spent Together by Tu Hongtao. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 275,000.00 (€ 24,600.03), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tu Hongtao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In Dream and Somnus in October 2015 with an auction result of CNY 1,950,000.00 (€ 279,555.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2011 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spent Together von Tu Hongtao zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 24.600,03) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tu Hongtao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In Dream and Somnus im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 1.950.000,00 (€ 279.555,33).
