Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Maybe Tokyo or Chengdu by Tu Hongtao was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2011. The price achieved of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 22,363.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tu Hongtao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In Dream and Somnus in October 2015 with an auction result of CNY 1,950,000.00 (€ 279,555.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Maybe Tokyo or Chengdu von Tu Hongtao wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 22.363,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tu Hongtao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In Dream and Somnus im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 1.950.000,00 (€ 279.555,33).
