Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli & International Art, which included the work Backgammon by Tsibi Geva. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,071.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tsibi Geva have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Diptych) in December 2015 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 40,289.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli & International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Backgammon von Tsibi Geva zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.071,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tsibi Geva auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Diptych) im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 40.289,16).
