Sold at the upper estimate price
In December 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli & International Art, which included the work Untitled (Half Balata) by Tsibi Geva. The auction ended at the price of USD 20,000.00 (€ 16,527.56), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tsibi Geva - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Diptych), which sold at auction in December 2015 for USD 43,750.00 (€ 40,289.16).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli & International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Half Balata) von Tsibi Geva zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 16.527,56) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tsibi Geva mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Diptych) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2015 für USD 43.750,00 (€ 40.289,16) versteigert wurde.
