In December 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli & International Art, which included the work Keffiyeh No. 24 by Tsibi Geva. The »bidding war« ended at USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,375.70), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tsibi Geva - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Diptych), which sold at auction in December 2015 for USD 43,750.00 (€ 40,289.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli & International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Keffiyeh No. 24 von Tsibi Geva zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.375,70) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Tsibi Geva mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Diptych) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2015 für USD 43.750,00 (€ 40.289,16) versteigert wurde.
