In November 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction A Special Selection of Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Wood, Woods, Forest by Tseng Yuho. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 200,000.00 (€ 18,962.22), 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Tseng Yuho have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Fishpond, Hawaii-Kai (Diptych) in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 725,000.00 (€ 85,317.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im November 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion A Special Selection of Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wood, Woods, Forest von Tseng Yuho zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 18.962,22) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tseng Yuho auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Fishpond, Hawaii-Kai (Diptych) im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 725.000,00 (€ 85.317,46).
