Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Hawaii Sunset by Tseng Yuho was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 280,000.00 – 350,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 30,267.00). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tseng Yuho - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Fishpond, Hawaii-Kai (Diptych), which sold at auction in October 2016 for HKD 725,000.00 (€ 85,317.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Hawaii Sunset von Tseng Yuho im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 280.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 30.267,00) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Tseng Yuho mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Fishpond, Hawaii-Kai (Diptych) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für HKD 725.000,00 (€ 85.317,46) versteigert wurde.
