Auction result well in line with expectations
The work New York by Tseng Kwong Chi was sold in the Amor FatiPhotographs Online auction at Bonhams in New York in February 2019. The price achieved of USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,647.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tseng Kwong Chi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jean-Michel Basquiat, New York, 1987 in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 110,746.88).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.647,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden.
