Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Village Scene Near The Pond by Tran Phuc Duyen was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2012. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 4,871.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tran Phuc Duyen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les cueilleuses de la moyenne région au Tonkin (The Pickers of the Middle Region in Tonkin) ; Le chemin du marché (The Way to the Market) in September this year with an auction result of HKD 529,200.00 (€ 63,850.00).

Die Arbeit Village Scene Near The Pond von Tran Phuc Duyen wurde im April 2012 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 4.871,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tran Phuc Duyen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les cueilleuses de la moyenne région au Tonkin (The Pickers of the Middle Region in Tonkin) ; Le chemin du marché (The Way to the Market) im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 529.200,00 (€ 63.850,00).
