Sold at the upper estimate price
In October 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Two Old Vietnamese Junks by Tran Phuc Duyen. The auction ended at the price of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,883.96), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tran Phuc Duyen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les cueilleuses de la moyenne région au Tonkin (The Pickers of the Middle Region in Tonkin) ; Le chemin du marché (The Way to the Market) in September this year with an auction result of HKD 529,200.00 (€ 63,850.00).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Old Vietnamese Junks von Tran Phuc Duyen zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.883,96) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tran Phuc Duyen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les cueilleuses de la moyenne région au Tonkin (The Pickers of the Middle Region in Tonkin) ; Le chemin du marché (The Way to the Market) im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 529.200,00 (€ 63.850,00).
