In April 2018 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Deer In A Forest by Tran Phuc Duyen. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 93,750.00 (€ 9,892.12), 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Tran Phuc Duyen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les cueilleuses de la moyenne région au Tonkin (The Pickers of the Middle Region in Tonkin) ; Le chemin du marché (The Way to the Market) in September this year with an auction result of HKD 529,200.00 (€ 63,850.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 56 % übertroffen
Im April 2018 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Deer In A Forest von Tran Phuc Duyen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 9.892,12) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tran Phuc Duyen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les cueilleuses de la moyenne région au Tonkin (The Pickers of the Middle Region in Tonkin) ; Le chemin du marché (The Way to the Market) im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 529.200,00 (€ 63.850,00).
