Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September last year Christies in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art, which included the work Sparrows, basket and pine cone by Totoya Hokkei. Here, the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 4,410.00 (€ 4,507.82). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Totoya Hokkei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tiger Looking At The Moon in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 350,000.00 (€ 302,323.57).
