Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Nara hibai (Red plum in Nara) by Totoya Hokkei was auctioned at Christies in Los Angeles in September this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,040.00 (€ 4,761.90). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Totoya Hokkei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tiger Looking At The Moon in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 350,000.00 (€ 302,323.57).
