It achieved a price of USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,863.85), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Totoya Hokkei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tiger Looking At The Moon in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 350,000.00 (€ 302,323.57).

Die Arbeit Chikakute tokimono (Things that are nearby, yet far away) von Totoya Hokkei kam im September letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.863,85) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Totoya Hokkei erzielen.
