Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Fine Japanese Prints, which included the work All Kinds of Things: Prizes Drawn at the Lucky Lottery (Kotogoto naru mono, fukubiki ni idasu keibutsu) by Totoya Hokkei. The price achieved of GBP 8,190.00 (€ 9,768.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Totoya Hokkei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tiger Looking At The Moon in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 350,000.00 (€ 302,323.57).
