Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Contrasto by Toti Scialoja was sold in the Post War and Contemporary auction at Christies in Milan in November 2008. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 22,100.00 23% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Toti Scialoja - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Metamorfosi, which sold at auction in November 2007 for EUR 75,800.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Contrasto von Toti Scialoja wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion Post War and Contemporary bei Christies in Mailand versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 22.100,00 und damit 23% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Toti Scialoja mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Metamorfosi beobachtet, die im November 2007 für EUR 75.800,00 versteigert wurde.
