In June 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Guren, 1990 by Toshimitsu Imai. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,012.50 (€ 8,171.39), 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Toshimitsu Imai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Temps Modernes in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 3,680,000.00 (€ 414,607.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Guren, 1990 von Toshimitsu Imai zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.012,50 (€ 8.171,39) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Toshimitsu Imai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Temps Modernes im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.680.000,00 (€ 414.607,11).
