A top price for Toshimitsu Imai
This artwork by Toshimitsu Imai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. In the Modern and Contemporary Asian Art Evening Sale auction, the work Temps Modernes sold for HKD 3,680,000.00 (€ 414,607.11) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 2,000,000.00. This high result makes Temps Modernes the most expensive artwork by Toshimitsu Imai that we have observed at auctions so far.
