A top price for Torii Kiyomitsu II
This artwork by Torii Kiyomitsu II achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2008. In the Asian Art auction, the work Unknown sold for EUR 2,125.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,000.00. This high result makes Unknown the most expensive artwork by Torii Kiyomitsu II that we have observed at auctions so far.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Torii Kiyomitsu II erzielte im Mai 2008 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Unknown für EUR 2.125,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.000,00. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Unknown zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Torii Kiyomitsu II, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
