In September 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Blossom Into Heavy Weight by Tony Swain for USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,208.27). This price was achieved in the auction Under the Influence at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Blossom Into Heavy Weight is the most expensive artwork by Tony Swain that we have observed at auction so far.
