Sold at the lower estimate price
In July 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online: NYC, which included the work Untitled, 1957 by Tony Rosenthal. The result of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,562.79) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tony Rosenthal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 29,628.38).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online: NYC durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled, 1957 von Tony Rosenthal zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.562,79) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tony Rosenthal erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 29.628,38).
