Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tony Rosenthal could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in December 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art | New York auction, the work Cube changed hands for USD 2,016.00 (€ 1,781.23) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tony Rosenthal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 29,628.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tony Rosenthal konnte im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art | New York wechselte die Arbeit Cube für USD 2.016,00 (€ 1.781,23) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tony Rosenthal erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 29.628,38).
