Auction result well in line with expectations
The work January 1985 Ii by Tony O'Malley was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2012. The price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,123.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tony O'Malley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Currach, Clare Island (Recto); Evening Landscape Tehidy Hospital (Recto); Figure (Verso) in March 2016 with an auction result of GBP 434,500.00 (€ 548,599.17).

Die Arbeit January 1985 Ii von Tony O'Malley kam im Mai 2012 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.123,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tony O'Malley erzielen.
