Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Winter Areas, Callan And Kilkenny by Tony O'Malley was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2016. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,476.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tony O'Malley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Currach, Clare Island (Recto); Evening Landscape Tehidy Hospital (Recto); Figure (Verso) in March 2016 with an auction result of GBP 434,500.00 (€ 548,599.17).
