Auction result misses estimated price range
In July this year a collector was able to acquire the work Jackie Bouvier Kennedy and John F. Kennedy at their Wedding, Newport, Rhode Island by Toni Frissell for USD 640.00 (€ 580.76). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs Now The Collector's Edition at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Toni Frissell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Weeki Wachee Spring, Florida, 1947 in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,900.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Jackie Bouvier Kennedy and John F. Kennedy at their Wedding, Newport, Rhode Island von Toni Frissell für USD 640,00 (€ 580,76) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs Now The Collector's Edition bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Toni Frissell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Weeki Wachee Spring, Florida, 1947 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.900,55).
