Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Jurong Shipyard by Tong Chin Sye. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 65,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 68,750.00 (€ 8,090.45). Other works by Tong Chin Sye have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,299.04) in May 2019 for the work Street Scene.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jurong Shipyard von Tong Chin Sye zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 65.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 68.750,00 (€ 8.090,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Tong Chin Sye haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.299,04) im Mai 2019 für die Arbeit Street Scene beobachtet.
