Sold at the upper estimate price
In April 2017 Christies in London held the auction First Open, which included the work Untitled #6 by Tomma Abts. The auction ended at the price of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,562.55), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tomma Abts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tiard in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 212,500.00 (€ 239,634.44).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im April 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled #6 von Tomma Abts zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.562,55) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tomma Abts erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tiard im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 212.500,00 (€ 239.634,44).
