Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tomma Abts could be acquired at Phillips in New York in November 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,831.58) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tomma Abts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tiard in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 212,500.00 (€ 239,634.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tomma Abts konnte im November 2018 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.831,58) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tomma Abts erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tiard im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 212.500,00 (€ 239.634,44).
