In September 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Day Sale, which included the work Untitled #1 by Tomma Abts. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,636.06), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tomma Abts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tiard in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 212,500.00 (€ 239,634.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im September 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled #1 von Tomma Abts zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.636,06) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tomma Abts erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tiard im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 212.500,00 (€ 239.634,44).
