Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Rachel, Age 17 by Tom Wood for GBP 125.00 (€ 157.82). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom Wood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work »Between Liverpool and Southport« in June 2012 with an auction result of EUR 3,354.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Rachel, Age 17 von Tom Wood für GBP 125,00 (€ 157,82) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom Wood erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit »Between Liverpool and Southport« im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.354,00.
