Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tom Lovell achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in April 2011. In the American Paintings auction, the work Indians In The Snow sold for USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,120.77) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom Lovell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Catchers of Wild Horses in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 312,500.00 (€ 268,309.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tom Lovell erzielte im April 2011 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Paintings wurde die Arbeit Indians In The Snow für USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.120,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom Lovell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Catchers of Wild Horses im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 312.500,00 (€ 268.309,44).
