Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Caribbean Conspiracy: Part III by Tom Lovell was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in July 2021. The price achieved of USD 8,820.00 (€ 7,434.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom Lovell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Catchers of Wild Horses in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 312,500.00 (€ 268,309.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Caribbean Conspiracy: Part III von Tom Lovell kam im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.820,00 (€ 7.434,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom Lovell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Catchers of Wild Horses im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 312.500,00 (€ 268.309,44).
