Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session, which included the work Packing Peanuts Figure by Tom Friedman. The price achieved of USD 100,000.00 (€ 88,999.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tom Friedman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 856,000.00 (€ 645,501.85).
