Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2020 Bonhams in New York held the auction BelovedPhotographs Online, which included this untitled work by Tom Bianchi. The price achieved of USD 1,275.00 (€ 1,156.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tom Bianchi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Sailing), which sold at auction in July this year for USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,484.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2020 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion BelovedPhotographs Online durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tom Bianchi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.275,00 (€ 1.156,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Tom Bianchi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Sailing) beobachtet, die im Juli diesen Jahres für USD 3.840,00 (€ 3.484,57) versteigert wurde.
