Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Christies in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Chrysler Building at night, 1997 by Tom Baril. The price achieved of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,514.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Tom Baril have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portfolio of 8, 1993-2001 in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 27,400.00 (€ 18,041.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chrysler Building at night, 1997 von Tom Baril zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.514,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tom Baril auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portfolio of 8, 1993-2001 im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.400,00 (€ 18.041,75).
