Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Artcurial in Paris held the auction Limited Edition, which included the work The Contractor - 2011 by Todd James. The price achieved of EUR 1,837.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Todd James achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dumparoo - 2010 in May 2018 with an auction result of EUR 29,900.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Limited Edition durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Contractor - 2011 von Todd James zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.837,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Todd James erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dumparoo - 2010 im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 29.900,00.
