Auction result well in line with expectations
In February this year Phillips in an online auction held the auction What Now?: Online Auction, which included the work The Best of Everything (Drawing) by Todd James. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 15,120.00 (€ 1,816.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Todd James achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dumparoo - 2010 in May 2018 with an auction result of EUR 29,900.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion What Now?: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Best of Everything (Drawing) von Todd James zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 15.120,00 (€ 1.816,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Todd James erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dumparoo - 2010 im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 29.900,00.
