Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Time to Think by Todd James was sold in the Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in September 2021. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 27,720.00 (€ 3,074.41), 16% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Todd James have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dumparoo - 2010 in May 2018 with an auction result of EUR 29,900.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Time to Think von Todd James wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 27.720,00 (€ 3.074,41) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Todd James auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dumparoo - 2010 im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 29.900,00.
