Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work Australian Still Life by Tim Storrier for AUD 3,840.00 (€ 2,257.61). This price was achieved in the auction Important Australian Art at Sothebys in Melbourne and was even below the estimate range of AUD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tim Storrier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Night Winds (Capricorn), 2010 in June 2021 with an auction result of GBP 56,500.00 (€ 65,837.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August 2009 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Australian Still Life von Tim Storrier für AUD 3.840,00 (€ 2.257,61) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tim Storrier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Night Winds (Capricorn), 2010 im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.500,00 (€ 65.837,19).
