Auction result misses estimated price range
In August this year a collector was able to acquire the work Nostalgia (Empire of the Coals) by Tim Storrier for AUD 615.00 (€ 366.99). This price was achieved in the auction Australian and International Art Online at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of AUD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tim Storrier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Night Winds (Capricorn), 2010 in June 2021 with an auction result of GBP 56,500.00 (€ 65,837.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Nostalgia (Empire of the Coals) von Tim Storrier für AUD 615,00 (€ 366,99) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Australian and International Art Online bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tim Storrier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Night Winds (Capricorn), 2010 im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.500,00 (€ 65.837,19).
