Auction result misses estimated price range
In March this year a collector was able to acquire the work The Flag, Camp at Relay, 1977 by Tim Storrier for AUD 369.00 (€ 227.54). This price was achieved in the auction The Sherman Collection | Prints & Multiples at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of AUD 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tim Storrier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Night Winds (Capricorn), 2010 in June 2021 with an auction result of GBP 56,500.00 (€ 65,837.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Flag, Camp at Relay, 1977 von Tim Storrier für AUD 369,00 (€ 227,54) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Sherman Collection | Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tim Storrier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Night Winds (Capricorn), 2010 im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.500,00 (€ 65.837,19).
