Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Bonhams in Sydney held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Point to Point, Evening Blaze Line, 1992 by Tim Storrier. The price achieved of AUD 24,600.00 (€ 21,794.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tim Storrier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Night Winds (Capricorn), 2010, which sold at auction in June 2021 for GBP 56,500.00 (€ 65,837.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in Sydney die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Point to Point, Evening Blaze Line, 1992 von Tim Storrier zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 24.600,00 (€ 21.794,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Tim Storrier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Night Winds (Capricorn), 2010 beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für GBP 56.500,00 (€ 65.837,19) versteigert wurde.
