Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Spirit from More Than Human by Tim Flach was auctioned at Phillips in London in November 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,890.00 (€ 2,219.04). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tim Flach achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ya Yun Elegant, 2012 in May 2018 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 45,549.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Spirit from More Than Human von Tim Flach im November 2021 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.890,00 (€ 2.219,04) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tim Flach erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ya Yun Elegant, 2012 im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 45.549,27).
