Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tiger Tateishi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work The Jomon Battle sold for HKD 1,447,500.00 (€ 119,167.58) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Tiger Tateishi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Moon-Sea-Brain - Sea of Seven Happiness sold at auction in November 2007 with the realized price of HKD 1,927,500.00 (€ 168,498.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tiger Tateishi erzielte im Mai 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit The Jomon Battle für HKD 1.447.500,00 (€ 119.167,58) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Tiger Tateishi; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Moon-Sea-Brain - Sea of Seven Happiness im November 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.927.500,00 (€ 168.498,77).
