Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Thomas Virnich; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot „Venus von Milo“. sold at auction in June 2018 with the realized price of EUR 4,125.00.

Die Arbeit Ararat mit Arche Noah von Thomas Virnich kam im Juni 2016 bei VAN HAM zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 2.580,00 und übertraf damit den zuvor vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreis um 72%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Thomas Virnich; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit „Venus von Milo“. im Juni 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 4.125,00.
