Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2003 Christies in London held the auction British Works on Paper, which included the work A view of Goldsbro Grounds, Yorkshire, from the house, the two chimneys of Ribstone seen over the woods in the distance by Thomas Sunderland. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 528.75 (€ 772.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Sunderland - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stybarrow Crag, Ullswater, Lake District, which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,432.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion British Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit A view of Goldsbro Grounds, Yorkshire, from the house, the two chimneys of Ribstone seen over the woods in the distance von Thomas Sunderland zur Versteigerung kam.
